About Carbon Farmers of America, LLC

  Carbon Farmers of America, LLC was created in 2006 by a group of family farmers in Vermont and Massachusetts committed to the health of the Earth and dedicated to rebuilding prosperity in our rural communities.

  Carbon Farmers of America trains, equips and provides ongoing consultation and support to member farmers across America to rapidly create new, high organic-matter topsoil. With our member farmers, we carefully record the process of soil building on each farm, and scientifically monitor the carbon levels in their soils each year. All carbon monitoring is verified by a third party.

  Our farmers put our hearts, minds, and hands into rapidly creating new topsoil. In turn we ask that environmentally awake, truly patriotic citizens support us by buying the food, fuel and fiber we produce, and by purchasing Carbon Sinks to offset their carbon emissions and support our work. It’s as simple as that.

  All profit realized by Carbon Farmers of America is re-invested into increasing the capacity of farmers to rapidly grow new topsoil and reverse global warming . In 2007 we will create a non-profit corporation, The Carbon Farmer Foundation to train, equip and make livestock loans to the brilliant, hard-working young people who will become the next generation of Carbon Farmers.

  Carbon Farmers of America is a proud member of the Carbon Coalition against Global Warming, an Australian organization of like-minded farmers and soil builders.

Background 

  The most critical issues of our times must all be understood as a whole. Topsoil loss in excess of topsoil creation, declining agricultural productivity, biodiversity loss and desertification, diminishing fresh water supplies, degradation of our oceans, climate change, increasing poverty and hunger, conflict and warfare for control of decreasing natural resources….the list goes on. The solution to all of these problems and more can be found in the way we make decisions, and in the impact of our decisions on the topsoil under our feet.

  Because of the visionary work of ecological pioneers like Sir Albert Howard, Louis Bromfield, Allan Savory and P.A. Yeomans and family, we have the information we need to rapidly create new topsoil over much of the Earth’s surface. Given this information, Carbon Farmers of America offers Americans the most responsible choice available: to create that topsoil starting today. We the people have the power to stop global warming and restore the topsoil that is our truest wealth.

  To jumpstart this critical people’s movement, Carbon Farmers of America is offering the terms of a new social contract. We will train, equip and provide consultation to our member farmers, who will rapidly sequester carbon dioxide in new topsoil. In turn, we need the people of America to support our efforts.
