1967-68 Mercury Cougar Nice Complete Orig Shift Plate w/o Console & Auto Shifter Click images to enlarge Description As you can see by my photos, this is an original Floor Mounted automatic shifter & chrome shifter plate without console that was removed from a 1967 Mercury Cougar many years ago and properly stored away. This Factory Original 3-Speed Automatic Floor Shifter and Shifter Plate are in nice original used condition. The shifter plate is clean and straight and not chipped, cracked, broken or been altered. The chrome is still shiny and not all pitted up but does show honest age and wear and has some scratches to the finish. There is also 2 small areas of oxidation on the rear bottom edge of the console where it meets the carpet. It still has the colored plastic indicator lense and the remains of the shifter boot. The matching 3-speed automatic floor shifter is complete and functions perfectly. It was completely taken apart and thoroughly cleaned. The lower bucket and lever were bead blasted and painted, lubed and reassambled with a new bushing. The shift handle has very nice shiny chrome and is complete with shift indicator light and wiring pigtail.
