Ketterlinus hole punched as a sample card / label; probably dates circa 1876 Philadelphia Expo. "Pinet Castillon" label... printer & date unknown, but probably 1870's... or even earlier.REVERSE: "On Hand in this Style. No. 631 (etc.) / $1.25 per 100. (Free by mail on receipt of money.) "E. Ketterlinus' Printing Establishment. Arch & Fourth Sts., Philadelphia." E. Ketterlinus retired in 1875; his son John dropped the "E" and renamed the firm: "Ketterlinus Printing House."RARE - Sample Card / US Wine Label almost certainly dates circa the 1876 Philadelphia Centennial Exposition.The "Pinet Castillon" label has similar fabulous gilt / gold ink and flourishes, but is neither dated nor identified.Both items are sold together.
